you don’t even watch basketball, so i’m not sure why you have an opinion on this in the first place.

“Only an idiot…” would see the Spurs won three titles in the 21st Century, the Cavs not winning a single game in last years Finals, the Nets making it twice, and Det vs. SA happening at all and call it “fixed” all-around…those ratings killers could have all been avoided with some nice shady officiating. There are obviously incidents and Donaghys, but like Smothers said, it’s mostly BAD officiating. The NBA is the toughest sport to call in the world–fast, frantic, and often a judgement call goes wrong. Do you think YOU could do it? Most of the biggest man-on-the-street whiners would probably make Violet Palmer look like a Hall of Famer. There are no more Earl Stroms. Bavetta’s probably the best, but even he makes mistakes. It’s just how it is.
